I have a strange thing happening when using the "Gable end provided by roof" option.

It appears that the exterior finish extends itself beyond the wall surface below the soffit, as in the picture attached. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this one?

I've seen it before ... Unfortunately, I've no idea how I fixed it. Try putting a hidden beam in, and adjusting it's height/offset. I suspect it's something to do with the reference heights.

I got a quick reply from softplan support.

The gable end roof was referencing a post in the center of the wall, not the gable end wall itself.

Thanks' Softplan.

was that jpeg from a rendering or was that a mode in softplan? I like the way it looks and was wondering if it was another program that was used to get that look.

Brendan,

It looks like standard "textured" mode to me.
