I need to make a new post in the library. It is a 6x6 wood post with a 12x12 block base (base varies in heights depending on project) How do I add a custom post to the library?

You can edit an existing structural square post to the size of the post and the size of the pad.  Then do repeat edit as needed.  This may not satisfy your need for a material list however.
