I would like to know of the SoftPlan+ users are you pleased with it. Is it something you are glad you have or would you be fine without it.

Thanks for your insite.

Also, If clients don't need to access the plans, does that make a difference in the recommendations between regular Softplan and Softplan+

I work from multiple computers....having all my files backed up on the cloud and then available on the other computer is invaluable to me.  Worth every penny....and I was skeptical at first

What Sam just mentioned, also the training videos and quick access to tech support.
Use of the Review module. Its pretty short money if you think about it.

It has not been particularly useful to me.

Review is generally too complicated for my clients to bother with -they seem to prefer pdf markup.

It also will not load a "plan set" or the full model.

Windows One Drive already backs everything up to the cloud and it does it in the background (do not need to wait when closing a project)

To be honest the only reason I did use it was because I had hoped for better additional content and better upgrades (due to Softplan gaining revenue)

-In other words features and abilities are more important to me than a few hundred dollars in cost.

Going from 2012 to 2014

$70 x 12 = $840

$45 x 24 (guestimating) = $1,080

So it is costing me about $10 per month more which to me is fairly insignificant.

Additional content has not been all that helpful -I find the 3D Warehouse more useful.

It remains to be seen whether or not the next upgrade will have benefited substantially from the possible increase in revenue.

Skipping a version $1,195 is still the most efficient way to go.

 So in conclusion:

If you are a power user and you want Softplan to be the best CAD program available than it makes since to use Softplan +

If you are not using Softplan to it's full capability and do not really need or care about additional capabilities than probably not.

If you have kids and money is tight the $10 is better applied to their college fund.

All comments are my opinion only and may or may not be correct
