I haven't done one of these in years.  I need to place a shed roof between two dormers and get the overhangs to match.  the main roof is an  8/12 and I believe the best I can do is a 4/12 on the shed.  Does Anyone have an easy way to accomplish this?

See Attachment.

Thank you for the help.

Select Draw > Add Shed Roof and click on the beam between the two gables.

It should add the roof at 1/2 the pitch of the roof which it is intersecting.

Once the shed roof is in place edit the edge and set the top to fascia

height to match the top to fascia of the 8/12 roof. The seat cut and heel heights will

adjust as the top to fascia height is adjusted.

If you're still having trouble getting the roof placed, create a ticket and we can take a look.

i'd add another roof:  1 method would be to add another roof with trace roof command the trace around the new area (my yellow lines), edit the porch beam pitch to be lower while leaving the other 3 planes as 'intersect' with 'auto pitch' selected.

another method would be for you to move the lollypop to the porch beam then change that lollypop to a 'double hip'.
