Is there an easy way to stack a wall on top of another one and make sure the bottom of the upper one sits directly on the top of the lower one without over lapping?
Such as when you need to put a wall in the gable to add a window into the attic.

The circular reference point is useful for EXACT stacking. it's the only reference point that uses heights as well as plan locations.

I do use the circular ref. point. And it makes two stories easier. What I'm talking about is there are occasions where I feel the need to add a piece of wall on top of a first floor wall. Maybe just changeing from brick to stucco. If they don't match exactly sometimes in the model the wall doesn't view properly.
Maybe I should be doing it another way.
It would be nice to have SP automatically stack walls that may not me a part of the second floor without having to do any calculations.

Look into "transition" walls.
They allow a transition from one material to another in the same wall definition.
The huge advantage is that you don't need to stack different walls and you can edit the height at which the material transition occurs.
In my opinion it was one of the highlights of the 2018 release!

Thanks, I will.
