Is there a way to copy and edit an existing paint?

For example: I have a paint for lap siding- sometimes I'll edit it to a lighter pen and color to show depth in certain areas. Is there a way to save that edited paint in the library without totally recreating it?

I create a drawing where I draw a box and place my paint in it.  Then modify the paint how you want it.  Do this for all the paint textures you like to use.  Then edit - copy to the softplan clipboard all the boxes filled with paint and paste to the drawing that will be using paint.  Now all you have to do is draw - select the paint you want and place where needed in the drawing.

You can explode it, use CTRL to edit ALL the lines at once, and then draw the paint definition box over the relevant repeating area.

It's quite quick to create that way.
