I have four grandchildren ages 5 to 8. The three oldest like to get on my computer and play at designing houses. It would be nice if Softplan had a child's edition for kids say 6 to 10 for $25 to $30. Of course it would not have all the amenities that a full version and would be un supported. Just basic walls and openings, basic symbols, a limited library, maybe able to export to PDF so other grandparents can see what they are creating. Start them out young to the Softplan system. A lot of young people are into Mind Craft, this would take it up a notch.

Years ago when I first started using Softplan my six year old daughter asked me if she could use the computer while I took a bathroom break. After telling her all the things she shouldnt do while I was away I came back to find her navigating around in 3D in ways I had never seen before.
