I created a polyline to delineate existing from new.  What I wanted is a 1" thick bold line that was easy to see.  What I got was two thin lines 1" apart.  Fill only created a solid 1" thick line.  Also when I edited the pline I had to edit each piece seperately and "repeat edit" would not work.  What's the work around?

Try setting a pen width to 1" instead

I am not sure why an option is not available to edit one segiment of the polyline and then indicate to apply to all segiments of the polyline.

I may need 5 or 10 vertices.  And I don't want just a solid line, I want a dashed or center line.

That worked for printing.  Thanks.

How how do I set up so that I can see the change on screen without printing?

As mentioned, setting a line thickness instead of line width will solve your problem in one step (example included). In other cases, I've also dealt with lines in the past with modifying the "Style Scale" when you edit

Under visible items, check box for "Display Print Pen Style"

That work perfectly and gets me exactly what I was looking for.
