Any idea what program they are importing softplan projects in to make this possible?

Sam,

Looking at Lumion website.  Doesn't show SoftPlan as an import.  Can you say a little more about how you use it?

Softplan has an export to sketchup feature.  Sketchup is native for Lumion.  Makes it really easy.  I only bought Lumion with the agreement that my daughter in law would learn it and do most of the rendering work.  She has a background in interior design so it was a natural for her.  I'm only using Lumion for presentations to sell stock plans.  I'll occasionally use it with a custom home client, but for me, softplan 3D is more than enough for working with clients on their custom work.

Currently, i use Blender as the transition software to go to several different types of formats for viewing in a VR environment and possible printing.  However, every program i have used for viewing in VR the model has missing parts like walls and roof sections, but only from certain angles.  I have been trying to find a way to use VR to show customers what their house will look like when they stand in the living room, kitchen, etc.  It has been a troublesome process to say the least.  I have documented this in some videos i made and posted on Youtube.
