On the electrical toolbar, how do I add new items like my fav. lights, ceiling fans etc.?

I can add commands but can't seem to add symbols.

It has been some time since I tried to do this but I believe that you cannot choose individual symbols to add to the toolbar. SoftPlan picked the ones that they wanted to add to the toolbar but you cannot add any just remove the ones that you use. I believe that I was looking to add smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and bathroom fans because I use those all the time and could not figure a way how.

You will need to go to File>System Options>Assign Icons>Electrical, highlight an icon that you would like to use and select Edit.

You should then have the option to enable Link Whole Library or to choose a specific symbol.

This icon can then be added to the Tool Bar by going to Window>Customize.

This seems to have limited functionality.  There is a limited number of icons available to use.  To put in a vent fan and smoke detector there seems to be only one misc. icon so one of them and anything else that's not a plug or switch has to use a plug or switch symbol.  Is there any way to add a new icon to the list?

It seems like you can only edit the existing symbols in the tool bar and not add a new icon like a smoke detector which looks like the symbol.

A suggestion to be able to add more icons to System Options>Assign Icons has already been forwarded onto our development team for further review

That would be great.  Even if the new icons were only a box with two letters inside that we could pick to represent our items of interest.

I would suggest that the icon just be a small version of the symbol that we want to add which would work great for small symbols like smoke detectors but might not work for large symbols that have a lot of detail and won't look good on a small scale.
