Is it possible to use two monitors to display the floor plan on one monitor and then display a 3D view on the second monitor?

Yes
If I remember correctly you right click on the tab of the window you want on the other monitor and select display in child window, or something close to that.

I found something on the forum last night posted by Jim Johnson, "

Right click on the tab that you want to move to the second monitor and choose "move to new window".  You can then just drag the new "child window" to the second monitor.  You can have multiple child windows."  That worked like a charm for me.

I have 3 monitors.  One cool feature is you can have first floor on one, 2nd floor on another and foundation on the third.  By having zoom/sync model zoom checked you can pan and zoom and pan all three at the same time.

I didn't know that.  I also have 3 monitors and will try that.

Multiple monitors is the only way to go.  I work off of 4 monitors with my main being 43" and then the balance 24" and 29".  I would never go back to one monitor or a small monitor.
