It's been one of those days.

If I open a drawing on my home computer that was started at the office it does not find the border.  And there seems to be no way to get it to recognize the border even though I point SP to the location.  Sometimes I can't even get it to recognize a new border that I've created.  What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

I was able to fix it by deleting my plan sets and rebuilding them.

I don't know if this is the best way or not, but I usually keep a copy of the border in the project file.

I have had issues like that in the past and what I had to do was create a whole new plan set page to get it to show.  This I did because it was 2 am on a weekend and I really needed to have it done.  I would send the files to support before they close for the week and see if they have a better option.

I do put a copy in the project file but I work our of a thumb drive so at the office it is drive e:  and at home it's drive g: so it doesn't fine the border.

the recreate the plan set works but is a waste of time.

It's an intermittent problem.  I've had to change the border on 2 sets this morning but it worked fine in both cases.

I think I'll rename one of the drives so they are the same and see if that fixes the problem.

It's an issue that I hope has been cleaned up for SOFTPLAN 2020. Having planset title blocks not saved with the project is ridiculous.

Wherever and whenever you open a Softplan project, you SHOULD always have the complete information. Including any used Custom 3D textures and settings.

If my boss opens my drawings from our backup drive (which he does on a regular basis, since we only have a peer to peer network) he loses the title blocks and most of the textures, making the "complete" drawing set virtually useless.

I have never had a problem with title blocks not showing up between my work and home computers. I have the EXACT same drive path for both setups and the same names for the tile block in each setup. I believe as long as you can do this (same path) you won't have issues opening up Plan Set on different computers.

That works if you can set it up that way.  I occasionally work for two other designers who use SP also.  So should I have to tell them they have to map their drives the same way as mine?

Our backup drive on a peer to peer network doesn't have a drive letter, only a network location. We can't possibly make path the same to the two locations, and even between two peer to peer computers, the setup is never identical.
