I have a deck that's 12' off the slab that has a circular stair leading up to the deck. I had to adjust the size of the deck by 2' and moved the stairs with it and the stairs jumped up to the surface of the deck. The stair is 12' too high and nothing I do will bring it down. When I try to edit the offset the numbers won't change. In model view I can move it side to side but cannot move it down. What now?

also is your deck drawn on the same level as the slab or on a level above it? draw you stairs from where you have your slab drawn

The deck is drawn 12' above the slab. I had to adjust the edge of the deck and boom my stairs jumped up 12' and they would not come down. I'm sure that somehow they got referenced to the deck instead of the slab but for the life of me nothing I did would make them come back down again.
I could undo to get them back down but I still had to adjust the deck. Customer was on the way to see the plan and more changes to make so I couldn't just redraw the deck.

Well, the uncleanup worked. Thanks a bunch. Now I can send out the prels.
This applies to all the edit boxes, not just staircases:
Once you have "unchecked" CLEANUP, you can edit the offset heights to suit, and then "recheck" CLEANUP to have items automatically cleanup to where YOU want them to, not where Softplan assumes they should cleanup too.
