I can't seem to figure out why my windows or window installation is not showing in my material list.  Screenshot (100).png

I have checked my layout (both parts and categories) and all look to be in order for them to be there.  I also checked to see if they are clicked to be counted and they are.  Not sure if it has something to do that they are in an existing wall but I dont think that should be the problem

Do you have the "Include" checked in the "Opening Libray Pricing" table?

Yep they are all checked.  I see the libraries under the system options but not anywhere in the project options so I am guessing they cant be affected at that level

  • Is the drawing that has the windows in the Model Stack?
  • Are the windows that are missing on a Building Option that is turned off?
  • Have the Window lines somehow been deleted (click on the "Show Removed Lines" button.
  • Try clicking on the "Output" button  (see pic). Sometimes this will give you a clue as to what is happening with unreported items

I thought perhaps the lines were somehow removed and the "Show removed lines" would do it.  But nothing on that.  Plan is in model and all windows are in the correct building options.  The output report doesn't show anything related to the windows either.

I sent it off to support yesterday so waiting to hear what they can find.

So the house that I am doing is a remodel/renovation.  As such we are not tearing down the walls but installing new windows, insulation, siding, ect.   So for that reason I chose not to calculate the framing of those walls.  This is where it gets the formula messed up.  The formula for "Interior Door Install" is looking for all doors drawn in any wall that contains studs. The studs in my walls is excluded from SoftList. So no openings in that wall will be found (formula cannot find the studs to find the door).

So what supports solution was: modify the formula and uncheck the "Calculate Material for Walls Containing Regions of....". This will tell the formula to list all windows and doors, regardless of the wall it sits in.

Huge thanks to support.

Have you assigned a sequence number to the windows? Sorry about that. I mean to say Library Category in the new Softlist system. Any of the old, original libraries would already be assigned but anything new you created may have to be edited
