What format or filter is the best for printing elevations without color? I'm seeing many plan sets with crisp black lines showing all the detail. Our current plan set shows the roof as a solid light grey. Would like to see shingle texture and so on...

How are you getting your roof plan?
I genereate the roof.
Click "birds eye".
then save that drawing as the roof plan drawing.
That should be a line drawing that I can add shingles using paint if I want. If your's at the point has shading then "somewhere" you can turn that off, just don't remember where.
I wish birds eye genereated a dashed outline of the house outline below. Maybe it does and I've just not figured out how yet.

Dennis, in the Project Options go to "material dimensions" and on the lower right there is a check box for "generate drawing include walls".

You can also turn off the AUTO PAINT LAYER, by Right clicking it (Turn Off Layer - Auto Paint).
The other thing to check is that the paint opacity is 100% - Right click the MODEL PAINT > EDIT > EDIT PAINT ... Opacity - Check box and adjust to 100%. If this is something that you want to be at 100% permanently (and I definitely did), go to SYSTEM OPTIONS > ASSIGN COLORS and make sure that the opacity for MODEL PAINT (and anything else that you want) is set to 100%.

Thanks to all. Lots of good info in this thread. I can get my "save as" elevations to come out close to what I need, but is there a way to adjust the settings on one of the modes to get it to look black and white, with hatched siding? Visible line misses a couple lines and shows no siding, shaded gets all the lines, but no siding and starts to add some color, Textured gets all lines but also all color...

Use Visible Line mode, but in Mode options make some adjustments to the line options ...

Hi I'm new to Softplan. I'm trying to figure this out. I have 2020 version. How do I get my drawings textured but not painted or shaded. I want all the detail of brick, siding, etc in clean black and white lines for plotting...but cant seem to figure out what exact box to uncheck or check. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jordan

As per the post above, use VISIBLE LINE MODE and play with the LINE OPTIONS - and any other options you want - until you get the look you desire.
