Can anyone get this type of truss show correctly in Softplan?

Should show correctly given the heel height, roof pitch are set.

You may have to edit the truss and select the closest truss style.

If in a cross section the truss may have to be hand drawn in if unable

to find truss style.

I have used this style on a couple houses and the truss showed correctly.

Paul, your webbing doesn't show in SP.  Remember, SoftPlan is truss engineering software....but i agree this mono truss should show something generic like on other truss styles.  Leave them a suggestion.

Right, Joe- I don't care about the webbing- I won't show that in sections just for that reason.

I didn't give the right example- this is the type I'm having problems with: a mono scissor truss.

I get the same problem on standard pitched roof scissor trusses as well.

I get some funky trusses when working with SP roofs. So, I often erase or turn them off so as not to show them. I just had this happen with a scissor truss on a very simple roof with a raised heel...

Paul,

Set the roof and then set the ceiling. Trusses will take the space between the two. I don't believe that the program will ever adjust to create the angled heels ... I've never seen that detail used, and I don't think that an intelligent computer program would never be able to assume that's what you want to do.

It seems like the cathedral causes problems. I tried a raised heel and problems started with teh cathedral.
