Im pretty new to using softplan and am having trouble with my first design where i put gables on either end of the structure but the wood siding on the gable is not inline with the siding on the wall. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, but there is no mechanism for aligning the textures on the 3D model ... We're all hoping that will be fixed in the next version.

Try adjusting the vertical size of the siding texture in 1/4" increments until you get a close match. Or the horizontal size for vertical siding.

As Martin indicated for material size adjustments. For aligning the T111 vertical grooves

they can be adjusted using the horizontal adjustment when editing the material. For color

you can add a solid paint over the T111 and adjust the opacity to suit.

This will only work when adding paint to the 2D elevations. As Keith indicated there is

not, as far as I know, any way to align sidings in the 3D mode.

Another option would be to uncheck GABLE END PROVIDED BY ROOF and fit the lower wall to the roof. That WILL correct 3D texture alignment
