How does everyone handle symbols in Softplan and Lumion? I find that most of the furnishings in SP are not as high quality as the ones from 3D Warehouse (for example beds in SP look like boxes to me) I see some folks like to move their SP models into SketchUp and place their symbols in that program, but I for one import mine directly into Lumion and place them in there. I find I have more control over my high-res objects in Lumion rather than import them into Softplan (which is a rather tedious process) and SketchUP. What strategies is everyone else using for symbols?

What appears to be a good render test.

1080ti  VS  2080ti

Sent this render to a client recently showing them their kitchen design. They were impressed and a sale was made on the spot! Softplan and Lumion make a powerful first impression  :)

Nice Allen! I like that Walk-in. Are you using native Softplan symbols in your renders?

Just upgraded to Lumion 9.3.1. and I must say I am LOVING the 3D grass and "Real Skies" features! What a great way to add more 'life' to our Softplan models. Any one else out there experimenting with Lumion to dress up their SP designs?

Yes, Allen got the new 9.5 email this morning! great timing...! ha. I will take a look at that video thanks. I have some older styles I used on older versions of Lumion, but I think they can use some refreshing as the newer versions have much more settings and features. Thanks!

Really liking the board and batten profile.  Nice to see real shadows as opposed to imitation shadows on flat textures.

Probably cannot see it real well on this photo but it pops at 4K.

Does increase render time to calculate all the shadows.

Lumion texture.  Then assign whatever paint color you want.

I believe the "weathering" and "edges" help as well

You definitely want to do that with concrete.  i need to get in the habit of dragging the porch slabs over a couple of inches...then when you round the corners it will look really nice.

I saw on the forum were you can add the 'profile' to the B&B siding but mine was missing for some reason.... I always wondered why Lumion has never added any native siding textures to use. I use the Softplan texture and it does look rather "flat". I will check this out and see it I can find that profile!

Also, the rounded edges look great on stair parts as well.
