Greetings Friends-

I am trying to do a simple Animation Video of the Exterior of a home. For one, after I go thru the steps I get a fatal crash error and the Softplan Project Shuts down ( I have a support Ticket in for this issue), but not before it "Compresses" and actually Creates the Video....

However, the Video is Pixalated, no where near the HD output I choose.....

My Method:

Camera: I position my camera accordingly

Options>Output Options

Animation>Frame Increment> .75

Output to File>1280 x 720.....or 1920 x 1080

Frames/Second:32

Number of Passes: 1000

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M with the latest driver from 3/5/19.

Processor: Intel i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.6GHz

RAM: 32.0 GB

Any thoughts on why it is producing such a low quality video?

Thanks in advance,

JLB

What 3D settings are you using?  Anti alias ect...   Also can you share the video so I can compare to what I've produced?  I might have a different threshold of what I consider pixelated.

Crashes:  I have found that limiting the lengths of my videos helps reduce crashes.  With my old computer 30 seconds seemed to be the magic number (it was similar to your setup).  I ran one yesterday at 1min 3 secs and it went through perfectly.  It wasn't a super high def though...

Derrik-

Thanks for the reply. Your video looks like 4K compared to mine.

Settings:

Textured Mode

Renderer: hardware (GPU)

Anti Alias: 8...I had it on 1, but 8 makes no difference in Video quality

Ambient Lighting: 10....had it on 5, but 10 makes no difference in Video quality

Headlight: 5

Indirect Lighting: added per Tech Supports suggestion: Direct: 47 Indirect: 54

Shadows: checked

Face Options: Had the defaults settings.....Added Reflections per tech supports suggestion. In doing so it takes 10-15 seconds per frame to generate...at this rate, that will be 5 days.lol. I turned reflections off.

Original settings:

With tech support suggestions (minus the reflections):

I feel like your video quality isn't terrible, but the speed is super fast.

I don't usually do the spinner thing, but I thought I'd give it a go...

Here are my settings:

Here is the video:

Trial Spinner

This took 4:40 to create in SoftPlan.
