Here's my issue, ..

For this instance I will use Shingle Paint as the example, ..

(1) On Elevations (drawn), ..  I paint shingles using 'Paint', .. Paint Lines, .. Roofing, .. Roofing B, .. and it fills the selected area.

When the drawing is revisited, a mouse-over recognizes the paint wherever the cursor rides over the fill, ..

(2) A new employee has somehow drawn Shingle Paint that can only be acknowledged when the mouse is over a seed point.

I have no idea how he did this and I would like to continue with the previously mentioned (1) manner of things, ..

Any suggestions as to what and how this is happening, .. ? is this something that can be turned off, .. is there a way to avoid this (2)?

Any thoughts much appreciated, ..

Thanks, ..

Look in Drawing Options, Mode Visibilities, Drawing and see if there is a check mark (Paint Seed Point). uncheck it that should fix your problem.

Perfect ! .. thanks Richard

You're welcome, seems like you could turn the seed point on and off from the tool bar I think on the older versions of SoftPlan.

You can put an icon on the toolbar that goes directly to the visible items.

If the PAINT SEED POINT is visible you can ONLY find/edit etc. the paint directly over the SEED POINT. If it's NOT visible you can edit it anywhere. It's worked that way for a few versions now. I've found it useful a few times to have the seed point visible ... especially if you're moving the paint. That way you don't fill the wrong spaces.
