Hello all,

I'm doing my first 3d plan and was wondering the best way to do this opening, is there a way to show the 1/2" drywall on the opening so the corner looks correct in 3d or do I just have to move the opening 1/2", which then looks a little weird on the floor plans.

Thanks!

Better to cut the wall out at either side rather than use an opening. If you need a header/wall section above, you can use a beam and wrap with drywall to match surrounding walls.

Rather than adding an arch, draw the walls to the extent of the opening then add another wall segment to fill in the space for the arch. Edit the infill wall to "Rake Bottom" setting both ends to the height of the arch and edit the wall joins to 0". Set the wall to be "Hidden". This type of opening does not interfere with the trim
