I have noticed this issue as well.   Mine seems to be more frequently; for example when I select a command or change between commands.....

Have not sent a ticket into SP yet.  Maybe I should.

Please create a ticket Kristy. In the description list where you see the lags most predominantly.

 

Not only does a ticket show us the state of your project, how many tabs are open, what is on the open tabs and the complexity of the project, it also sends us a log file to see if there are hardware concerns.

Was experiencing the same issues.  Have two GTX-1060 cards.  From the advice above, went into the nVidia control panel, clicked on Manage 3D settings, went to the Program Settings tab, added softplan.exe and restarted Softplan and that fixed the issue.  Would not have thought of doing that had you guys not posted the advice here.
