Just noticed one other thing as I'm spending my first full day working in 2020.  If I'm in 3D and edit an item, as soon as I finish editing, it takes FOREVER to regenerate the view.  I have made sure anti alias is off, reflections are off, etc.  Not sure if there is something else that can be changed to speed that up.  I'm on a high end laptop with a GTX 1060 video card, so I'm pretty sure its not my hardware

I think I may have solved this one.  The Surface Book 2 that I'm using has both a dedicated GPU and 1060 GTX NVIDIA GPU.  You have to go in and change settings in the surface if you want a different GPU used on different programs or to be the default.  I had it set up as the default on 2018 but needed to go in and change it for 2020.  Seems to have sped things up quite a bit here now so hopeful that the issue is solved and may help someone else working on a surface.
