Please don't tell me I have to generate SP drawings from Annotated Elevation to Export to DWG.

If this is the case I will have no use for Annotated Elevations as all my jobs get Exported to DWG for truss and engineers before permit.

How do I get my Annotated Elevation to Export a DWG from Plan Sets?

I can only export from model view of elevations and all the info I added to Annotate view is not there (obviously) so now I have two incomplete dwg files that need to be merged.

It's too bad because I have about 7 drawings I just figured out I have to change all the elevations in.

I put my annotated elevation on a plan set sheet and exported it from the navagation panel and the pdf came out fine.  All my annotations were there.  I used visible line and have not tried texture or others.

Works with textured also.

Are  you using the 1.7 update?

I don't believe that dwg files understand Softplan textures, so probably won't see the model paint at all.

Sorry Tom, I did not read your post correctly.  You are indeed correct.  You will have to save the anotated model as a drawing to export as a dwg file.  Otherwise all you get is the annotations.

But, this is still better than before since you can make all your notes etc. on the model then saveas.  When you have to edit you are editing the live drawing and only have to do a saveas.  You don't have to then go to that drawing and edit/correct things like before.

You can also export a 3D DWG of the whole model for the truss company to work with and send the PDF for reference. I only send PDFs typically, but there are other ways.

Here's a screen shot of a DWG export (just a test I did for 2020). Depending on the model it comes through pretty clean...
