Before 2020 SP would start up in my middle monitor.  Now everytime it starts up it's in the left monitor.  I have 3.  Win 10 setting is for middle monitor to be the main monitor.  Same thing in my vid. driver setup.

In a typical day I might open up 20 to 50 different times.  Mostly 6-10 different projects.  I am careful to close the projects in the orientation I want them in.  It used to work correctly.

Every once in a long while SP does start up properly, but it's random.

Anyone have an idea?

Drag the relevant windows to the relevant monitors and when you close Softplan ONLY close the MAIN WINDOW, that will close the others too, and they should all open up correctly when Softplan opens.

That doesn't work.  I agree it should. I've searched on the net and it's a big problem with some computers running certain programs.

Found a fix that seems to work for me.

Set SP up in the monitor of choice, then make sp smaller than full screen, close SP.  May have to do this on every project or it might be the default now.  I'll see.

I also use 3 monitors.  Mine opens on the main screen just like it always has.

I do not know what caused mine to change.  It was very frustrating.  Just started one day out of the blue.  None of the fixed worked until this one did and seem to continue.

I have had this happen to me and this was my fix as well. I find it tends to happen when I open multiple windows in SoftPlan but I only have to do it once and then it does it for all projects.

Not the best situation since my middle monitor is a wide screen.

I started having the same problem this week. This "FIX" worked for me too. Thank you.

Do you have a video card that handles all three monitors?  If so, then have you experimented with which video card designates output 1, 2, and 3 and the order that they are connected (even though you can assign in your monitors in windows)?  Did you update your video driver(s)?  And if you did, did the problem begin soon after update?  Just some random ideas to try.

I have two monitors, and they have been perfect up to now ... but for some unknown reason, Softplan started opening in the wrong screen earlier this week. But applying the "FIX" above has sorted it out and I'm having no further issues.
