I know there must be a reason for each. Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains specific uses? I searched the forums but was unsuccessful.

The online manual describes the use for each note type. I do not know of any

video tutorials for note types.

Well that explains it clear enough.

Now why didn't that come up when I searched. :(

Thank you.

I also find that Detail Notes only appear in the Drawing Mode that you are in currently while the Overview Notes appear in all Drawing Modes by default.

Either style of note will be visible in the mode that you add them in. There is an option, when you edit the note, for 'Visible in All Modes'. If you're adding speed notes that may have been set when it was added to the Library.
