Is there any way to consolidate the deck or porch framing so it actually shows on the framing plan. Am very curious to the logic of this. Maybe a regional thing.

Any way some clients are confused as they think they are looking at the deck surface.

If you're talking about Framing Mode, then you can go to Drawing Options, Mode Visibilities, select Framing , put check in the check box for everything you want to show up.

I am in Drawing Mode and that is how the decks appear.

In Floor System Mode the deck joists show up dashed

I re-read your post and realized I can edit that on mode options for drawing mode.

You might want to set up a custom drawing mode to work the way you want your floor system to look with deck framing.
