It looks like something to check out further. Definitely like the initial cost.

Any info on the system performance requirements to operate ?  I looked at the website and came up empty?  Also, this free version is good until later this year.  I didn't see the cost or if it is a monthly subscription etc?

Saw this - "and yours to keep using indefinitely after that."  That means "no charge" to me.  How about you?

May give it a try.

Not sure what the minimum requirements are, but it worked fine on my system.   ;)

Checking the task manager... It does like the GPU... I was running 99% while using the program.

Here's a quick render of a timber gazebo. I did not adjust any materials or do much other than change the grass and background and throw in a few trees. I had to downsize the file considerably to upload it.

I gave this a quick look and exported a couple of Softplan examples....one simple interior and an exterior .....with my video card, I was only able to used the software on Medium textures....the exterior was ok and has potential....but the interior view was simply not any good....the software is very easy to use and with some trial and error, a ok, but not OMG must have....but having said this, my video card just does not have the "horse power" needed to get the most outa this tool....and this free version is limited on the selection of material etc....I am sure with the paid version that will change.....I am hoping there are online sources that have a better selection of materials, etc available, so with a much better video card, and lots of practice, one will be able to create better images than now available in SP....I will continue to watching the how to vids and see how this goes....

David:

I was waiting on King Kong to appear   lol....One question:  Did this house have a basement?   The one that I used had the house floating above the ground...but in SP, was set correctly....just a learning curve thing I am assuming...

Wes, I tried using the 3Ds file as well. It seems to handle SKP files better than 3Ds.

I'm still on version 2018, do they have an option to export to SKP in 2020?  I did figure out how to fix the missing parts, but it would be nice to not have the cleaning up to do.
