Is anyone else having issues with say stone or brick watertables on their houses.  (half brick or stone and top half siding)

The entire floor system is missing and it leaves a blank space / gap on the 3d and elevations..

This started happening in the new patch.

I swear this 2020 is a really bad program update.  Can't believe how many bugs are in it!    Very disappointed so far..

If anyone know what is going on the the floor systems leaving gap on walls let me know..   Full siding, brick or stone walls work ok...

Also the cover floor on the watertable walls is greyed out....

This is causing major issues for us cause we can't show any of our clients 3d work because of gaps..

Thanks

Jon

Check your brick material and make sure it is not set to "fixed".

I had the same issue yesterday.

Chris, Jon,

If you could please create tickets that would be helpful to check those cases. We made changes in 2020.2.0 to correct an issue that caused the bottom plate to extract incorrectly and that change seems to be affecting some cases. If we can test those cases we will have a better idea as to how it can be corrected.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the ticket Chris. In your case we are not dealing with the material being set to 'Fixed'.

The wall in question needs to be broken into two since the top portion sits completely on your floor system and the bottom portion projects outside and should cover the floor system. When built, the siding will have two different heights and that will require two different wall segments to be drawn.

Are you guys going to fix this????

If not this is a huge problem for us..  We have over 250 plans drawn and will have to fix all the walls in each plan...   Or atleast do a rest to system...

I don't understand what you guys did to mess this up.  Walls worked fine before the last patch...

Thanks

Why are the brick/stone materials in your water table walls fixed?

John - I make the water tables fixed at 36".  That way if I change my wall height from 9' to 10' the water table stays at 3' tall and not streatch up to 48"

If your water table is fixed at 3' is that 3' of brick or brick to a height 3' above the bottom of the sill plate of the wall?

In my cases it would be both.  Not sure what it would be different in what you are asking John.

After re-reading I want 3' from sill to to of watertable.

I had this problem in 2016 but created many more new walls in 2020 with different water tables and soldier coarse with 3 or more different bricks. You should save a custom wall type to a file and just load it when you encounter a incorrect wall arraignment in your drawing. you can import and export all walls in any drawing without having to edit each one.

You will have to "fix" a water table or soldier coarse at whatever height you want the bottom of it to be. You can do this anywhere on the wall and at what ever height you want and as many of them as you please but they will all have to be fixed to work properly. If you want more than Brick A and Brick B just you some other material that will not be used in the project and change the texture in the 3D view. I rarely even use the standard SoftPlan textures because when I want a decent rendering I export the model to Lumion and change everything. Lumion direct export is the best thing 2020 has going for it other than a much better export to SketchUp.
