In autocad, those who've used it are familiar with the trim between command, where you start the trim, but hit enter a second time

so that you can trim between two objects as opposed to having to pick the trim point or line.

Is there a way we can add that to softplan... when drawing details like the shutter pictured below... I currently have to break the line then trim past the top, and then trim past the bottom.... a single command to trim between lines would be great.

Jon,

You can use "Block Cut" erase command with snap on to achieve this.

Thanks for the suggestion Jon.

We have a suggestion logged requesting to allow trims and extends to 2 lines at one time.

As Jim said, the Block Cut command using Snap(F11) will also achieve the trim requirement.

Can you use the block cut command when the cutting lines are not horizontal or vertical?  I have to block cut a few lines and then trim them to the cutting lines...

Maybe try changing the cursor angle. That might help with working on the angle.

Try drawing several lines at a 45° angle and then try to block cut a portion of the lines with the cursor at the same angle and you will find that it does not work.

Even with the cursor at an angle and drawing the cutting box at an angle, the actual cut is performed horizontal and vertical to the extremities of the box.

The issue with the angled cursor/ block cut has been reported where the cut area remains orthographic even though the selection box is angled.
