Does anyone know how to clear out old or unused drawing templates from the " Drawing Options, Drawing Options" drop down?

Drawing Templates reside at the Project level. Under File- Project Options. Select the Settings (Gears) icon next to the current drawing template and you will have the option to delete any that you no longer want in that project.

 

If you are in File- Drawing options- Drawing options you will need to select Use Project Drawing template- Edit Project Template and that will take you to the Project Options where you can follow the directions above.

If i want to make a change that applies to all the drawings that use that template, how would i go about it?

Once you use a template to make a drawing that drawing is a separate entity.  Changes made to the template now only exist to the template.  If you want the changes to be global, you have to go to each drawing that uses that template and change each one.

Historically I have created a collection of template drawings and use them as needed by copying them into the current project folder so using Softplan's Drawing Template feature is very new to me and after reading about it in various locations I am left wondering......... 

 

If I use a drawing template today for project 'A' and in a few years after modifying and adapting the template to new situations I open project 'A' will the will Softplan automatically update project 'A' to reflect the new template settings or will it retain the original template settings?

 

This question is similar to what happens when you create a standard title block.  If over time you modify the title block then when you open an old project it automatically updates the title block to the newest version.  Is this what will happen with the drawing templates?
