Is there a way you can add a feature to include green board instead of regular drywall in a room designated as a wet area like a Bath. I see no better way to include this as a feature other than in the Rooms as a selection just like wall covering. We have many types of drywall people are using these days so it would be great to be able to designate the type for the Room.

You have 3 different drywall types to choose from in your wall definitions. Create a new wall and put the water resistant board on one side.

Yeah I can do that... but it is time consuming to break walls and start a different wall and have to go back and adjust everything when changes have to be made. Would be easier to tag the drywall in the Rooms script.

Rename one of the "Wall coverings" to "MR board w/ Paint" (this is done in the Project Option_Finishes_Wallcovering Options). You could even assign that wallcovering to all you bathrooms (in Room mode). That way each time you created a Bath in Room mode it would have the correct type of drywall. Finally you could create a room report that listed the wallcoverings for each room in order to specify where the moisture resistant board was used.

Could do this but it will still count boards for the areas regardless of the wall covering. We use 54" boards for regular drywall and we don't have 54" in the Green Board. you would still have to spend the time figuring it out in the end. This is what I am trying to get around. Only way I have found to do it is to give the green board walls a ID Tag and tell the material to only count boards in that range for green board. This method will not work across the board because every plan is different. I need a method that is sure fire for any project. Right now I have a project that had the addition of green board and some exterior drywall as well as regular drywall. Made this method work for the wall ID ranges but it is allot of unnecessary trouble when you have already so much to do.

We need a way to be as versatile with the interior wall material the same as the exterior walls but not have to create new walls and break them to fit spots to do this. We may need a 2x4 interior wall that the customer desires to change one room to have plank style panels on or something. We should be able to change this at the room level instead of at the wall level.

Hi Anthony.
Your request can likely be dealt with best on the SoftList side of things based off different wall coverings such as Bathroom Tile or Bathroom Paint.
Please contact us in support and we can try to help you implement the required modifications in SoftList.

I figured out how to create a green board and exterior drywall wall covering and configure it in softlist. I will use this method because it is the most user friendly and will work with all projects. Thanks
