Am transitioning from ArchiCAD and am looking for a reference view tool. I wild like to be able to reference point loads and bearing walls between different floor levels. The only option I find is in floor framing mode. Is there a workaround possibly with Building Options or some other tool I have not discovered?

Do you mean "Overlay"? if so, try overlay ....

You can use overlay in any mode. It does not show symbols or other "non-structural" stuff, but it should work in all modes.

There is no tool icon available for "Overlay " when you are in Drawing mode. You have to access it through the big "A" in the upper left hand corner.

I use "ctrl O" as a keyboard shortcut to both show the overlay I choose and to turn it off.
