I am trying to convert PDF files to DXF to bring into Softplan.

I did some looking around on here to see what people used to covert and they recommended inkscape - however, it turns everything to lines, including the text and I have to take a lot of time to redo all the text in the plans, but I was just seeing if there is a way around this OR if there are any other programs or softwares that others use and recommend.

Thanks!

I used to do this a lot when I used autocad.  All the products I found did as you mentioned turn text into lines.

The best I could figure out was to use and OCR the extract the text.  convert the drawing, erase the text.  Then import the text file and distribute the text where needed to be.  This was only worth the effort when there was lots of text as on a general note sheet.
