I need a "bracket" to hang a flat cantilevered roof. I can draw the bracket but I can't figure out how to rotate it in 3d so that it works on the model.
It's just a rod and it needs to be inclined about 15-20 degs.

You can either rotate it in the symbol wizard, or as a quick and dirty fix, add a small site polygon, tilt to suit and then slope with reference. Then don't extract polygon in model.

Another complaint I've had since 2012.
Almost every 3D program out there can rotate in 3D space.

What happens if you delete the wedge?

We really do need some way of doing at least minor rotation in the "Z" axis!

Neil,
When you say horizontal - did you apply the profile to a beam? Here is an aluminium 8020 section
Jon
Thanks Jon
I do have those that I downloaded from a 3d profile site. I just wanted them tho look like the actual product.
Not sure how to add a profile to a beam though?

To add a profile to a beam edit the bean definition, on the far right end of the dialog you can select a profile. When drawing a profile it must be an open shape or it will be filled. Hence the small gaps in the 8020 profile. Profiles are drawn true to scale. Beams can be set to slope.
