Attached is a picture of a porch detail the client asked me to match for the historical society review--- meeting tomorrow!

Anyone have anything quick that will work?

Please help.

Thank you

Is it a cut-out in a board? If 2D you can just draw with shapes and paint. If 3D you have to get creative. You can do it with solids, but more of a raised area for the cutouts if you want to show it in 3D, but not get too close. Or, you can model it with site plan objects with holes just as someone recently posted for gable accents (don't recall exact thread, but a recent one). Or, you can use SketchUp and create a symbol from the SketchUp export in SP.

Thanks Mark.

I was just handed this porch detail today and asked to create replica for the historic review committee meeting tomorrow. Otherwise, the next review meeting is in a month.

I also was asked to fix the rest of the drawing... and my back is killing me.

I guess I better suck it up and get ‘er done.

Jonathan, All this is possible in SoftPlan. Here is a quick example. Was done freehand so is not quiet symmetrical. Just use site mode to create the shape. I used sidewalk as the main shape and building outline to cut the shapes. You could initially bring in an image and resize to trace. Then just save it as a symbol and set the orientation to be correct. I am sure others on this forum can help with that.
By altering the height and width the pitch can be set to fit the roof line.

Jon

I found it. Thanks
