Anyone have a key assignment for 'edit item'?  I'd like to use the "E" key however strategically in use for Erase already.

I use 'Q" for 'edit item', 'ctrl-Q' for 'repeat edit', and 'ctrl+shift-Q' for 'repeat edit box'.

I like using 'ctrl, shift, or alt' for related shortcut commands- like 'P' for segmented pointer and 'shift-P' for the straight pointer.

I use "shift-e"

Is there a folder somewhere that the keyboard shortcuts are saved? I'd like to send my shortcuts to some one else so they can load them directly into system settings with having to manually input each one.

You should be able to export your settings and send to them. Or back them up and send only that file.

Just go to ARCHIVE and save JUST your SYSTEM CONFIGURATION, and send it to the other person, he can then restore it to his machine. If he saves his system configuration beforehand, he can restore that later to put his system back the way it was originally if necessary.

We all have assigned different keys for edit.  This is entertaining!   I use "F"

I didn't know you could customize these keys (face in palm).  Can you add functions too?

I don't believe so, but why don't you try a shallow dive into the keyboard customizations and let us know. You can change virtually any keystroke, but I don't think that all the commands can be implemented.

I actually use a gaming keyboard with macro keys to the left side and have various commands assigned to them.

Here is something novel, I set the DELETE key as my ERASE key (matches other programs like Microsoft) and my ā€˜Eā€™ key as my EDIT key.
