Overhang extends down.

I run across this alot and have never found effective way to get rid of it in 3D.  I tried cutting a hole etc. It just was mind numbing and left holes I didn't want.    Is there an easier way.

Obviously 2D not issue.

Thanks,

Mike

Draw the lower gable roof as a separate roof. Then, draw the main (upper gable) with a hole where the dormer is. Extend the boundaries of the hole outside of the outline of the upper roof. This is where SP does not always shine so well. Many roofs need to be drawn with multiple parts.

Thanks, Mark

I tried every combination... except this one and it worked.

Wonder if SP 2020 is smoother?

Welcome. I don't think 2020 is much better. I still have to split up roofs or it decides to "fix" things it shouldn't.
