I am interested in different ways of doing a Zero Entry with no step into the home for homes with basements and attached garages. I understand there are different variables like type of house floor system, different codes or no code for garage floor elevation versus house floor elevation, flashing and termite protection, etc., and that is why the interest in different ways designers detail Zero Entries.

I use the "Zero Step Entry 2" example shown above. Works well in my area.

Good examples Martin. I've done a verson #2 for garage to house entries. The #1 example looks like what someone had described for floor trusses and I couldn't quite picture it. That one might be a good one for a current project I am designing where they want 2x4 walls inside the basement and use the #1 example where the inside of the foundation is either filled or an unfinished basement space.

Bruce if you are using a manufactured floor truss you may consider top chord bearing

that would bear off the sill plate and hang inside the foundation.

I use top chord bearing trusses in this area.

I am very interested in this topic.  I am curious as to how it does not violate IRC 404.1.6, where it state that  the foundation shall be 6" above grade?

Generally speaking, the foundation 6" above grade is not affected as long as that is maintained and just the sidewalks run to the top of the foundation,
