I am not sure if I have not created my walls correctly or if I need to do it in interior mode but my walls definition has tile on the top of the knee wall where the glass starts but for whatever reason when it is drawn it does not show up in 3D.  In addition I am not getting any ends to show.  Not sure what the best way to create these shower tiled knee walls.  I seemed to have the wall definition work in older version but have been having increased trouble lately.

Better to just add a a standard wall and use interior mode to show tile? Any suggestions on a better way would be appreciated.   In addition to the 3D I would also like to pull out the material for a take off

My understanding is that a wall will cap it's end if the materials are exactly the same on both sides of the wall. I cannot tell what the strapping material is for in your wall definition. That may contribute to the issue. Also, make sure the tile is checked to display while in SV. Then, you will also want to make sure the partial tile walls do not clean up as you want the ends to finish off with tile. I find even when I have the join tolerances set to 0'-0" they sometimes decide to clean up anyway. It seems hit or miss. And, like you say, walls behave a bit more strange these days in the latest versions.

The strapping is the U-channel that holds the glass at the top of the knee wall.  Since the glass enclosure is all done at one price I am not needing it to call out and it could be done as a solid.

Doesn't seem that would cause the end not to cap itself. Maybe it is the join tolerances or SP defaulting to join anyway. You could fill in the top and ends with solids, but it would cause some head scratching when having the materials take-off populated.
