I'd like to create a wall that is a 2x6 siding with a 4' foundation wall in the walkout basement.

My problem is when I go to wall definition how do I get the 8" concrete wall under the 2x6 siding wall?

The starting point for the conc. should be 0.  Then the 2x6 wall starting point should be 48".  The siding can have a starting point of 0 if you want it to cover the conc.

Unless I misunderstood the question.

In my experience the walls will join better if you put those concrete walls on a separate drawing in the model stack.  In the past I have created the wall you describe but I always struggle with the way they join.

I also tend to put concrete walls on a different drawing file because of the joining. Then I use overlay to show it on my drawing.
