I am having trouble with vaulted ceiling in version 2018.  I have been a softplan user since V11 and have never had problems with vaulted ceiling. I would like the drywall to attach to the bottom of rafters.

Thanks in advance!

Set all sloped edges as hip and enter the slope of the rafters. Set gable end of ceilings as gable or hip with vertical checked. If you select the same pitch as your roof you should be set. Sometimes the ceiling tries to clean up on it's own, and you need to double check each edge and re-select the properties you want.

Leaving the gable ends as hip and using the vertical check box did the trick.

Thanks!

This worked for me but the vertical ceiling covered the window I have in the gable end.  Does anyone know a way around this?

Fit the wall to the roof, and use a gable on the ceiling.

Thanks, I had a hard time getting the gale ceiling to work but it was because my ceiling wasn't over the walls correctly.  I used auto ceiling and it worked.  Thanks again!
