Softplan, any updates on when Lumion livesync will be available for Softplan?  All Lumion users appreciate the consideration.

Thanks,

allen.

We would love to have a Lumion livesync plugin.

Lumion and Lumion developers create the pluggins for it's livesync products.

Sure. They should know there is a demand for it.

John, Lumion needs to know how many Softplan users use Lumion.  I have no way to know.  Any ideas?

Is there a way to create a poll here on the forum?

Brendan, See John's comment above.  Its Lumion's responsibility NOT softplan's

I've been trying out the trial version, and we'll be purchasing the V10 after the first of the year.

Softplan should reach out to "TwinMotion" also. Looks like a better software and they are leading in the VR options.

Does it allow you to import softplan 3DS file like lumion?

I have used both.  If you export Sketchup file out of Softplan it can be imported into TwinMotion.  Works well.  I feel that Twin Motion is easier to learn and use but, to me, the quality of the finished product in Lumion is much better.

Twinmotion can import both .FBX or .SKP files

Yes, they had a winter special to down load it for free (might still be available)

As you say, on the TWINMOTION site ... https://www.unrealen...n-US/twinmotion ... it says "Get it free through early 2020!" So if you're at all interested grab it SOON.

It may be that it appears easy to learn, but I suspect that to get the best out of it, you have to learn more than just enough to get started. As with ALL complex programs, to get the best out of them, you have to KNOW the program, not just LEARN it. Looking at the demo's I doubt that you could create them first time out of the gate.

I downloaded Twinmotion when it became available a few months ago. I had a few tentative goes at creating something (and was quite happy with what I did produce), but I've learned enough to know I NEED to learn a heck of a lot more to use it properly.

For anyone who's interested in trying it, there is another FREE rendering engine. KERKYTHEA ... http://www.kerkythea.net/cms/ ... that is worth trying (looking in the Gallery, the buildings look quite poor - although I suspect that's due to the quality of the drawn building itself, not the rendering engine). Quite a while ago (2½ years), I used it to create a Glass Chess Set that I drew in Sketchup ... The pieces are quite rudimentary, as I can't use Sketchup either.
