Is there an easy way to have the window buck and outside corners follow the inward slope in 3D?

Thanks,

Mike

Maybe you can put the windows before you slop the wall

Thanks Ron.. I used a previous tutorial yesterday (thanks Keith A.) for a custom arched opening maybe there is something in there I can use or send it to SP tech for advice.

If you have inward sloping window, I know of at least one window manufacturer that will not guarantee against leaks.

Sorry..after I submitted the post, I realized that it was a poor explanation of what is in place.  There is a wall behind what I call a "mansard" roof, which is plumb and where the window is positioned.  The "mansard" lays up against the plumb 2x6 wall. I would like to have os corners on the sloping mansard to follow the 12'' inward slope as well as the top of the window frame, buck, jamb.

I have done this before in 2D.  This is my first time at creating this in 3D.

I can actually return shingles back in the there, but have not found how to have the frame follow the slope of the roof surface.

Thanks for the responses and sorry for the lack of clarity.

I have never used Sketch-Up as an import source.

Thanks,

Mike

I wonder if you could draw that wall as a roof and add a ridge cap as your corner boards, then cut a hole in the roof with fascia selected. The window would be placed in the wall behind. And the roof would have to have another hole cut in it where the it meets the deck/upper walls. Just a thought.

Mark that's outside the box.  I will give a try.

Thanks for the input.

Mike
