I need to show a horizontal cylinder.  However, when I draw the solid as a cylinder slice, the program displays a horizontal decagon solid rather than a round cylinder in 3D.  My vertical cylinder of the same size shows up in 3D as a round cylinder, how do I get the horizontal one to do the same?  The same thing happens if I use an arc plane as well.  Obviously the computer creates a curve using segments and facets on solids, so how do I get the horizontal solid to show the same facet resolution as the vertical one?

Thanks,

Try using a beam (Log Round) and modify as needed.

Or, for more complicated things you can create a wall or railing with the round profile and have it turn, round corners, chamfer, or miter as needed.

OR much easier, just use SYMBOLS > SHAPES > FULL CYLINDER

OR much easier, just use SYMBOLS > SHAPE > FULL CYLINDER

Well!  I've never noticed the "Shapes" folder!
