It would be nice if I could select and move detail lines that I draw from a midpoint, such as a square or rectangle.

If there's a way to do it I haven't found it. (Except going through the extra steps of drawing crossing lines inside the box)

Does not turning snap on, then use the move command to find the center point of a side not work for you?

I usually draw a diagonal line and find the mid point of it then erase.

Or snap to the vertical of the square, then again to the horizontal of the square.  But you have to click on "pick move point".

He doesn't mean the centre of a side ... He means the midpoint of the object.

Having said that, the midpoint of an object may not be calculated where you want it to be ... take this object for example ...

Is the midpoint of the star, the centre of the circle or is it the centre of the subtended rectangle? Softplan will probably understand the midpoint as the centre of the rectangle, which I bet isn't where you want it. How do you tell a Softplan HOW to calculate where you want to see the midpoint?
