Does anyone have a problem when you have roof lines that intersect, and the eaves/soffit of one shows through the ceiling of your finished rooms?

Also, I'm in the Sioux Falls, SD area and would love to hear from fellow Sioux Falls Softplan users.  I work for a builder and am teaching myself how to use Softplan in the hopes of getting him to use it.

Thanks!

Marianne, where the roofs intersect you will want to cut out the portion of the roof that is not needed.

After cutting out the roof area edit the hole and uncheck the show soffit and facia box, this should delete

the roof that shows inside the finish rooms. To cut the roof hole go to Draw>Hole>Trace Hole, enable the snap tool

and trace the hole. After tracing the hole if some unwanted roof still appears zoom in on the edge of the hole and

you may have to adjust the hole to complete the cut out

Thank you!  I'll give that a try!
