Anyone else find the most accurate way to design and catch potential problem

Yes I love looking at the 3D framing model. Especially when dealing with stairs, and rooms upstairs inside a roof structure.
It really helps to show people who don't understand, why you can't always just stick a room in the attic.

I agree it takes a while to model the framing but more and more it is required for permit. Some things Softplan does well and then there the areas we need more tools. But the more you model the framing the better and faster it becomes but still, for me anyway, its takes some time. Need the ability to frame in purlins under rafters with corresponding bracing to that purlin. Ways to framing skylight wells. Automatic strongbacks for ceiling joists would be great. These are just a few of the things that would speed things a lot. I have been trying to develop cheat sheets to aid in the proper offsets for the different joist levels, ceiling heights, etc
