Hi All,

Is there a way to load a bundle (or batch) of pre-set materials into the Softplan model? As it is now, I have to change each material individually to Horiz siding, or B & B, or stucco, etc.. every time.

I do have the 2x6 siding wall pre-set to what I use 70% of the time. However, when designing the exterior, it would save time if we had pre-set colors for the fascia, soffit, siding, etc.. and then we could load all of them at once and even cycle though the different "batch material" options quickly.

I hope I'm explaining that clearly. What I'm after is where the Batch materials would be named "craftsman" or "farmhouse". Then "Siding A" would take on the loaded material properties.

Can Softplan do this?

Thoughts?

Absolutely.

In the 3D window  FILE > MATERIAL FILE > LOAD/SAVE.

Once you get all the material/textures how you want them, just SAVE the MATERIAL FILE as CRAFTSMAN.spm or FARMHOUSE.spm, and in the next project, just load the required material file - you can have as many as you want, and LOAD as needed.. If you really want to make it quicker, resave the default 3D file as DEFAULT3D-OLD.spm or something you can remember and save over the old default.
