It would be cool if there was a way (and if I'm missing it please tell me how!!) to wrap the room name text....

So instead of "Butler Pantry"

You got

"Butler

Pantry"

Anyone know if it's possible?

That would be a great addition.

The only thing you can do is change the text size and orientation that I am aware of.

Great comment Jon.  This would be very helpful in tight spaces.

Another reason I don't use most of what SP automates. It'd not only be great if we could stack the text, but also control all sorts of aspects of the text within the one text box (multiple sizes, some italics or bold, some underlined or not, etc.- basically like any word processing program). Or, if we cannot do that can we at least have tables for such entries where each cell can be preset or configured differently?

I don't use ANY automated text. Maybe it would work, but I prefer to be in control of FONT, SIZE, PEN and LOCATION for EVERY note.

I use "Room " mode on every project I do. Love the fact that room sizes are dynamiic and I don't have to worry about constantly manually updating the label.

You can use Room Mode and not use the text.  If you label your rooms with notes, which I do often, then you have control.  We have to provide an abundance of information for Resheck and Manual J so I use Room Mode to report rooms and footages and then on those drawings I use the text within Room Mode.

I use the Room Mode all the time because it makes creating design drawings with all those labels quick and easy.

I have however made some of my own custom rooms and used abbreviations because they are usually in tight spaces like Water Closet being WC instead.

I tried that w/o good results... I created "Bed #2" instead of "bedroom # 2" to save room, but when I insert it, it still labels it as "bedroom # 2"

You can edit the Room and change the name under the Room Name.

Yes but it's aggravating having to do that every time. I need to learn how he created the custom ones....

Just go to System Options; Library; Rooms and create one there or you can rename one that you already have. It should stay that way.

When you define a new Room change the name to whatever you want, circled in red. It should stay that way.

Clicking EDIT on any room, will allow you to edit ALL the rooms and all your default interior trims etc. at one time.

That only works for that one instance.... It doesn't change it going forward.

Gotta make changes at the System level if you want it for all future drawings.

Yeah I realized that's probably what he meant after thinking about it.... I just got done editing them in the library on a system level so... should work now.

Thanks for the help everyone!
